Over the holidays I was able to head to my home town in Ohio and see all of my extended family. It was so nice to reconnect with everyone and get in extra sister time. As I've mentioned my cousin Sarah is like a fourth sister to us and like any younger sister, she let me play dress up with her! Here she is before we got started:
Sarah is young with gorgeous skin and doesn't need to use a foundation so we started off with tinted moisturizer and a pore minimizer. We touched up a few of her blemishes with concealer before getting started on her brows. Sarah has naturally thick brows so we really only needed to darken them up a bit to make them pop against her skin and to compliment her eyes.
When I'm doing a heavier eye or using darker shadow, I like to start with the eyes so we can brush away anything that falls onto the face. My go-to shadows have always been the Chanel
Les 4 Ombres quads. They are pricey but they are definitely my go-to splurge because you get four shadows that are pre-matched for you to blend together and the pigment is so saturated that a little goes a long way. I typically can use them for years before I have to replace them. Here I used the Demure quad starting with the lightest of the four shadows all over the lid focusing on under the brow and the inner corners of the eye. I then used the third darkest color on the lid only and under the eye as a light liner finishing off with the darkest color in the crease to create dimension and make the eyes pop and then under the eye as a heavier liner.

I then added a black
gel liner to the upper lash line and a black pencil underneath the eye as the pencil is easier to blend. I blended out the black and added the dark brown from the quad under the eye to soften it up. We put on two coats of Sarah's favorite mascara to finish off the look!
Once the eyes were done we only had to finish off the skin with a little contouring. I used my favorite Too Faced bronzer in Chocolate around the face and under the cheekbones tapping around the sides of the chin and blending down the neck. I used a thin brush to draw two thin lines down the top of her nose and blended them in thoroughly. I added a little Nars blush in
Orgasm on the apples of her cheeks to bring life into the face.

Finally, I finished off with
concealer in the shape of large triangles under her eyes. I used a Benefit
highlighting stick on the center of her forehead, in a very thin line down her nose, in her cupids bow, chin and above her cheekbones to add dimension and glow. Finally, we finished it off with a light lip pencil and a colored gloss.
We also curled her hair for volume using a wand and my favorite hair spray! More on that in the future!
